Frequently Asked Questions
If you’re seeking therapy for the first time, you might not be sure what to expect. Here’s some answers to frequently asked questions:
What can I expect when I decide to work with you?
We start with an intake session, where I conduct an assessment to learn all about you and your goals. This allows me to clarify and identify your mental health concerns so I can tailor a treatment plan that meets your needs.
From there, we will have consistent therapy sessions to address your mental health challenges. The length of a session varies, depending on the type of service being provided, but you will have ample notice. I typically recommend we meet for weekly therapy sessions. However, adjustments are made based on the client’s needs.
How much does it cost?
My goal is to deliver high-quality services at affordable rates. Please contact me to inquire about service fees. I will be happy to discuss them with you.
How does telehealth therapy work?
Telehealth therapy is very similar to traditional therapy. The biggest difference is that it allows you to attend therapy sessions on the go or from the privacy and comfort of your own home. I use a telehealth platform that is more secure than traditional video conferencing and allows for forms to be filled out and documents to be sent securely.
Presently, Thriving Haven is only providing telehealth services to those residing in Ohio, Psypact states, and The Bahamas. To access your appointments, you need:
A reliable high-speed internet connection
A desktop, laptop, tablet, or mobile phone with a built-in or external webcam and microphone.
A quiet, private place
Telehealth can also be used as part of an Employee Assistance Program. It is a great resource for companies and organizations in providing convenient, confidential psychological services. Contact me to learn more about the benefits of utilizing telehealth services in your business.
How do I pay?
Payment is due at the time of appointment. Thriving Haven is currently only self-pay or private pay. I do not bill directly to insurance. However, I can supply you with invoices (superbills) that you can submit to your insurance for reimbursement. First, check with your insurance plan directly to verify your coverage for out-of-network providers.
